Shenyanling capsule consists of Honey-fried Radix Astragali, Poria Alba, Caesalpinia, Vaginal Ovorum Mantidis, Ecliptae Herba, Glossy Privet Fruit, Charred Cortex Eucommiae, Prepared Radix Glycyrrhizae, Cortex Acanthopanacis. It has a good effect on treating chronic glomerulonephritis, nephrotic syndrome, diabetic nephropathy , hypertensive nephropathy, This TCM formula combines the theory of traditional Chinese medicine,the modern research and the clinical experience. It has the function of strengthening the spleen and nourishing the kidney, refining nutritious substances to stop bleeding.On the premise of reliable effect in the clinic as well as the properties of the effective component of the medicine, the active position was determined , the preparation process and the optimum extract conditions were screened, the quality was controlled and preliminary stability was investigated. Small amount of production of Shenyanling capsule showed that the preparation process was reasonable and practical, the quality was controllable, the quality of the end product was stable. The best extractive methods were offered in controlling the capsule's quality by TLC analysis. The content of Astragaloside was determined by HPLC-ELSD method. The study afforded a best basis on the quality standardization research of Shenyanling capsule.
