Study on multifunctional fabrics is a necessary development trend in the textile field and the important thing is how to solve the incompatible functions. In this study, decabromodiphenylethane, a flame retardant, was used in flame resistant finishing of polyester fabric then one side of the finishing polyester fabric was coated and the other side of the fabric was for antistatic, water-oil-repellent finishing. Through the investigation of different factors such as concentration, temperature, time and pH value, the better finishing process was confirmed. Meanwhile, the different structures and properties between polyester fabric and finishing polyester fabric were investigated by scanning electron microscope(SEM), energy dispersive analysis of X-ray(EDAX), FT-IR and thermal behavior(TG-DSC).The results showed that the finishing polyester fabric had better moisture permeability and water pressure resistance, coating property and flame resistance, water-oil-repellent and antistatic property. It also had good low temperature resistance, high temperature resistance and high strength.
