| The water jet machine at present is provided with the single machining function. It can only perform the simple cutting operation. It is difficult to satisfy the demands of machining complex part. Therefore, the application of the water jet machine in the field of mechanical fabrication is limited. This prohibits the developments water jet machining. After studying the domestic and the overseas application actuality of the water jet machine, a multi-functional water jet machine model with five-axis is put forward. It can perform turning, milling, drilling, gridding, scribbing and eching etc in this work.The whole project of the multi-functional water jet machine with five-axis, of which four-axis are computer numeric controlled is suggested in this work. Based on the detailed design of the machine structure and the driving part, the mechanical and mathematic model of the driving system of the machine is built. Then the static and dynamic state performance of the machine has been simulated and studied. The cutting head such as the water nozzle and the mixing tube of the water jet machine are calculated using the finite element method (FEM). The analyzed results show that these two parts are safe. In order to ensure the controlled precision and the dynamic properties, the half closed loop control of the machine is adopted in the design of the machine.The computer numeric controlled water jet machine with multi-functional has been realized using the PC+PMAC movement controlled card. The soft and hard ware of open-architecture of computer numeric controlled system based on PMAC for water jet machine has been studied in details. In addition, the experiment of water jet cutting materials is investigated. The flow chart of machining profile with computer numeric controlled system is designed. The machining precisions and the physical properties of the work parts have been analyzed.As a kind of advanced mechanical machining facility, the computer numeric controlled water jet machine provided particular characteristics of cool machining. It can be used to machine the heat sensitive materials extensively. At the same time, the water jet machine have the advantages that other traditional engine machining methods can not been compared. The results studied in this work have important social and economic meaning. It has wide promising in application. |
