Sulfides micro/nanocrystallinites are series of semiconductor materials. In numerous sulfides micro/nanocrystallinites, copper sulfide and iron sulfide draw more and more attentions for their interesting properties like various non-stoichiometric, complex crystal structure and valence. Because of these properties, they could be used as photoelectric materials, artificial rainfall agents, conductive fiber, microwave shroud, catalysts, cathode materials of high capacity secondary battery, solar cell materials.Since the advantages of low reaction temperature, the products with small particle size, good uniformity, high purity and simple synthesis process, hrdro/solvothermal synthesis method has been widely used to synthesize many kinds of micro/nanocrystallinites, and became the focus of material science. In this paper, hrdro/solvothermal process is used to synthesis CuS, FeS2 micro/ nano crystallinites with unique morphologies. The obtained samples are characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM). At the same time, take methyl orange as a target object, the catalysis of these products to the degradation reaction of methyl orange is studied. The conclusions of the paper are as follows:(1) Ethanol, glycol and ethylenediamine are used as solvents, respectively. The pure, well-crystallized FeS2 could be successfully synthesized by solvothermal method. In the solvothermal process, the reaction temperature, raw material concentration, reaction time and the choice of iron resource have great influences on the morphology of FeS2 samples. The FeS2 samples with morphologies of smooth surface sphere-like, accumulation sphere-like, flake-like, hexagonal-like, spherical droplet-like and rod-like could be obtained through adjusting the reaction parameters aforesaid.(2) Ethanol, glycol and ethylenediamine are used as solvents, respectively. The solvothermal method is employed to synthesize CuS micro/nanocrystallines. The results show that the pure, well-crystallized CuS could be produced when ethanol and glycol are used as solvents. While ethylenediamine is used to be solvent, CuS samples could not be obtained. The experimental parameters such as reaction temperature, raw material concentration, reaction time and the choice of copper resource also have great influences on the morphology of CuS samples. The sphere-like, flower-like, flake-like CuS samples are produced by adjusting these parameters.(3) The catalytic activity to methyl orange decaloration using the prepared FeS2 and CuS samples is analyzed. The results show that the prepared samples have well catalytic activity, under urtla violet lamp, with suitable dosing quantity, the decolaration of methyl orange solution could reach above 85%.
