With the developing of our country's economy, the people's living level raise continuously, so the consumption need of car also increases with each passing day, and the car has become absolutely necessarily part to people's lives. As a kind of potent traffic instrument, the car is not only bringing people tremendous convenience, but also is bringing a series of negative function, such as traffic jam, the pollution of the environment, energy excessively consumed and many other problems increasingly outstanding.The car is a kind of mechanical-electrical product, also is a kind of expendable goods, along with the usage time increasing, some of the parts will abrasion seriously, or will be destroyed during the period of usage time, if happened an accident, in this situation, the function of the car can't recover the beginning status even if maintain or replace new ones, so the emission of the automotive will be subjected to effect. In the meantime, the producing technology of car in our country is unadvanced, and the emission grade of the new car is low. The cars'life-span are commonly longer than in developed country's, maintaining system is not perfect, the transportation management, laws standard etc, also can't satisfy the demand of the car industrial development, the pollution of car emission has already seriously effected our country particularly the air quality of city environment.At present, research on the vehicle emission in our country, focusing on two important aspects: first, study something about the relationship between vehicle driving condition(such as starting fashion, average speed, load, driving mode etc.)and the emission; second, study the effect of car technology(such as electronic fuel injection+three-catalyst conversion technique)and outer factors(such as fuel quality, environment temperature and humidity etc.)on emission. However, there was less studying on what kind of discipline about the vehicle emission changed with the increasing of using time, how does this caused and which measure should be taken to decrease it. If it can profoundly find out the relationship between mileage and usage year limit with the emission, we could take some useful measures to modulate the emission of the vehicle to make it keep a relative good level, consequently, we could reduce the emission rootly and minish the environment pressure caused by car especially the pollution of city atmosphere.From the point of view above, the article is taking the passenger car of Changchun City as the study object, take ASM(Acceleration Simulation Mode)5025 examination data as basis, has studied the discipline about main pollutant, including CO, HC and NOX which comes from passenger car changed with the increasing of driving mileage and usage year limit, combination of wear and tear rule of vehicle parts for analysis, and put forward a number of control mearures of reducing vehicle emission for Changchun city.Firstly, the paper researched data from Luyuan motor vehicle inspection centres in Changchun City, in order to ensure real and effective data, the data were screened, exclused of missing values and abnormal value for the study to provide a reliable basis.The state banned carburetor car production and sales out of the consideration of emissions from the 2001, but through the investigation found that there are still amount of carburetor vehicle used in Changchun city belonged to passenger car besides EFI vehile, In order to study the specific differences between the two emissions, the paper studied the relationship between the major pollutants and mileage and the usage year limit about EFI vehicle and carburetor vehicle separately, and established the corresponding model. From the result, we found that while imitating speed reached 25 km/h, along with the increment of mileage and usage year limit, the emission of passenger car presenting the ascension trend, and while use for 5 years of beginning or mileage increased to 90,000 kms, the deterioration of emission changed quickly, later the speed of deceleration became abated, but still presented increasing trend, both EFI vehicle and carburetor vehicle had the same discipline, and also discovered that the emission of carburetor vehicle lager than carburetor vehicle, this is mainly caused by the difference engine structure of two kinds of vehicle. Without considering other factors, it is only that with the increasing of the usage year limit and mileage, the emission deterioration mainly caused by the parts abrasion of the vehicle, and also found out that deterioration and abrasion both had the same discipline, but not fully synchronized changes in the process, it is because the additional installation of emissions reduction equipment offset the dramatic changes in emissions caused by the parts wear and tear and slow down this process.On the basis of above study, facing to the vehicles using situation of Changchun City, proposed some of the measures to reduce the vehicle emissions. From macro: First of all emission control system should be established, on the basis of national emission standards, different regional should develop appropriately emission standards in order to fit for the actual situation, eliminate emissions in a serious state of the vehicles as soon as possible; From micro, because Changchun city has the special environmental features and the use of vehicles awareness features, gave a number of effective emission reduction technology strategy. The result of the paper provides a theoretical basis of reducing the vehicle emission, and also for the automotive manufacturers to develop more reasonable use handbook of the vehicle provides a basis.
