| Cage roll forming is an advanced kind of cold roll forming technique, and widely applied in manufacturing of electric resistence welded (ERW) pipe. Because of its complexity and difficulty in process parameter measurement and process control, more and more pipe manufacturers has been paying attention to pass design of cage roll forming. Therefore, it is necessary and significant to carry out research on pass design of cage roll forming to improve the reliability and operability of the design.This thesis focuses on the forming and pass flower of steel sheet passing through cage forming rolls. System of Auto Parametrically CAD/CAE Modeling of ERW Cage-roll Forming and System of ERW Cage-roll Forming Pass Design are developed. Finite elmemt method is employed to simulate the process of ERW cage-roll forming and validate the pass design. The content of this thesis is followings:Chapter 1 aims to summerize the key problem in the research on pass design of cage-roll forming on the basis of status review of research on ERW cage-roll forming, and to introduce main content, configuration and the motivation of this thesis.Chapter 2 aims to to introduce theory of pass design, the forming of steel sheet and main methods of pass design, which will give ground to the ERW pass design and validation in chapter 5.Chapter 3 is set to introduce elastic-plastic finite element theory, which is the basis of the research on simulation and analysis of ERW cage-roll forming, and to introduce material nonlinearity, geometric nonlinearity and contact nonlinearity in finite element simulation.Chapter 4 aims to simulate ERW cage-roll forming with the help of finite element method, and establish System of Auto Parametrically CAD/CAE Modeling of ERW Cage-roll Forming, which gives support to analysis on ERW cage-roll forming.Chapter 5: to establish System of ERW Cage-roll Forming Pass Design and use finite element method to validate pass design.Chapter 6: to review the thesis and to prospect the research on pass flower and pass design of ERW cage-roll forming. |
