The Fuxin illite (kaolin) is a kind of soft clay, which is the northeast area unusual resources. With the domestic soft clay resources massive consumptions, the situation of reserve resources insufficient is intensifying, the Fuxin kaolin exploitation and the utilization appear extremely essential.Regardless of this kind of mineral is the kaolin or the illite, analyzes from the product application, it has the extremely good exploitation and the utilization significance.Base on analysising China kaolin present situation comprehensively and developing prospects, a clay mine in Fuxin Mongolia county was searched and analyzed, and its primary study on refining was also carried out.The clay mine in Fuxin Mongolia county of liaoning province is mineral of Kaolin group mainly, which is divided into two kinds: one kind contains water(Dickite and Halloysite of 2M1 - two polysome, multiple layers and monoclinic system); another is Kaolin of 1A and 1MD (monolayer monoclinic system). The secondary minerals are quartz, mica mainly(appearing in all samples), the others are the feldspar, Limonite and so on. Through studies on refining of the kaolin sample, the research result showed that firstly the gravity concentration must be carried out to remove non-clay mineral in raw mine, secondly iron content was reduced by highmagnetic separation or other processing methods to enhance the whiteness.
