In this dissertation, the developmental history, the present situation, the varieties, the characteristics, the properties evaluation, the applications, the developmental trend and the prospect were introduced. The methods of preparing the metal-containing optical plastics and the means of improving every property of the optical plastics were described in detail.RE2O3(RE: Eu,Nd,Er,La,Sm),MMA were used as raw materials to synthesize RE(MA)3. Eu2O3 , Phen were used as raw materials to synthesize Eu-Phen ,Eu-MA-Phen.Their structures were characterized by IR spectra. Has carried on the fluorescence emission spectrum to the Eu organic compound, the fluorescence excitation spectrum fluorescence analysis.RE-containing optical plastics were prepared respectively by means of the copolymerization of three components: St-MAA-RE(MA)3. Their transmitance, refractive index, thermostability, pencil hardness, water absorption, density were determined. The impact on the properties of the resins that metal salt had brought was studied. The impact on the transparency of the resins that thedifferent proportion of every monomer in the three-component system brought was studied too. The function having carried out fluorescence on to containing europium resin is in spect.
