Nodulizing treatment is one of the important links of production of ductile iron, Tundish-cover spheroidizing process is aims at Pour-over spheroidizing process that existence the shortcoming to carry on one sheroidizing method which the improvement develops. Its merit is reduces pollution and so on magnesium light, dust, enhances the absorptivity of Mg, can enhance the nodular cast iron effectively the overall performance and so on.The present paper basis Jiangling Casting Factory specification, used Tundish-cover pour-over nodulizing process, the analysis elaborated in the technology key and the difficulty of fabrication of As-cast silicon and molybdenum ferrite ductile iron, the selection chemical composition, the type of nodularizer and inoculant, the join quantity of inoculant and the molybdenum and so on quantity conducts the experimental study, had the pointed adjustment and the optimization, sought the best preparation craft parameter, by stably produced the high performance casting condition ferrite silicon molybdenum modular cast iron.The experiment use the intermediate frequency induction furnace melt iron-smelting fluid, the main chemical composition scope of iron-smelting fluid control in 3.3~3.5C%, 2.7~2.9Si%; Use the fast thermo-element to measure and control the temperature of the iron-smelting fluid. Pour the iron-smelting fluid when its temperature between 1500℃to 1550℃, 1530℃is more good. The iron-smelting fluid from the electric stove pours into the dried spheroidized package and the handbag carries on the spheroidizing and inoculanting process. Then the iron-smelting fluid pour Y, simultaneously carry on the following inoculantion. Takes the Y shape specimen after through 60 minutes, cools the room temperature in the air.The result show that in the experiment, use the A spheroidization and inoculant, inoculant joins the quantity is 1.2%, when strengthened inoculation, may cause the carbide content remarkably to reduce which in the organization of ductile iron, obtains the distribution to be even and tiny nodular graphite organization, the spheroidization rating also stabilizes above 85%, each overall performance also achieve the requirements.
