Tea is Chinese tradition industrial crop, there are more than 20 provinces and cities to produce tea across the country. It is the mountainous area's main income originates, and it is also one of the largest amounts exported commodities. Xinyang has long tea production history, superior ecological environment and outstanding tea quality. Xinyang Maojian is characteristic by thin, round, tight, straight, multi- pekoes, fragrant high. Its taste is thick and the color is green, so it enjoy good reputation in Chinese and foreign countries. At present, Xinyang tea garden are totally 800,000 Chinese acres, which can be mined 550,000Chinese acres, the annual productions are 20,000 tons, the output value 2 billion Yuan, the social gross income surpass 3 billion Yuan. The tea industry have become the most important industry for local people to escape from poverty .In recent years, along with world economics swift and violent development, people's living standard rapidly enhanced, specially some developed countries and the area set a higher request to the tea hygienic quality, they not only set a higher request to the tea outward appearance and the intrinsic quality, moreover set the new higher request to the tea health standard.From the aspect of atmospheric falling dust, the way of tea picked, soil as well as tea processing, a research was made about the lead pollution in Xinyang Maojian. The findings had indicated that, nearby in the road atmospheric falling dust the lead content was higher, could cause the lead content in the tea to increase, therefore we should choose the place far away the road to construct the garden. Not correct picks the way (hairtail leaf andlamella picks) can increase the lead content in the tea, this is because the fish leaf and the lamella accumulated the massive lead, which cause the lead content largely rise, which also possibly the main reason that the early spring picked top grade tea lead content is easy to exceed the allowed figure. The tea in the processing process, the booth blue is an important link, if there is dust in the ground ,the booth will be blue, that can increase the lead content of tea.We Has carried on an investigation to the Xinyang Maojian tea microbial contamination situation, finally indicated: The large intestine bacteria colony limits the quantity target is 300MPN/100g according to the agricultural profession standard NY5244-2004 stipulation tea. Xinyang Maojian tea has good hygiene condition, the large intestine bacteria colony discovery has not exceeded the allowed figure, the Xinyang Maojian tea colony and the mold number relative are less, colony total and mold number are separately in < 10 - 110cfu/g and <10-320cfu/g. Xinyang Maojian tea in the processing process each main working procedure microorganism examination result indicated that, after fresh leaves puts, the large intestine bacteria colony and the colony has obviously increased, but through dyhydrated procedure, the large intestine bacteria colony may reduce to30MPN/100g below, the colony total and the mold number also remarkably reduced. The large intestine bacteria colony has not had the situationin in the following processing working procedure which pollutes once more, but the colony total and the mold number had some changes for the processing factory environmental condition influence, the hygiene condition of good tea reprocessing factory is obviously better than the B tea reprocessing factory.
