In human industrial environment of our modern society, it inevitably exists many kinds of explosive gas atmospheres. In this atmosphere, the spark of electrical apparatus is usually one of the main reasons to cause explosive accidents. For statistics, explosive accidents caused by electrical apparatus is merely inferior to fire. So, it is need to plot the grade of explosive hazardous areas and grade of dangerous medium, choose explosion-proof equipment economically and reasonably to prevent explode condition and alleviate explosive danger. All of these measurements are important for securing corporation production safety. It is needed to divide hazardous area reasonably in explosive gas atmospheres, which is a precondition to choose right explosion-proof equipment if we want to effectively control the dangerous factors of electrical apparatus, and safely apply kinds of electrical apparatus. However, dividing hazardous area is limited by various factors, for instance disunity of standard usually make operation even more complicated in practice work. There will be many prevalent non-criterion phase in dividing hazardous area in explosive gas atmospheres. This paper firstly discusses the problems and reasons existing in dividing the hazardous area in explosive gas atmospheres. Using numerical simulation method and researching explosive gas diffusion based on fluent, this paper provides with assistant dividing methods to plot hazardous area in representative site, which could make hazard rank more specifically. This paper also puts forward improving methods and advices on dividing hazardous area in explosive gas atmospheres aiming at some existing problems. The innovation of this paper is using advanced numerical simulative methods to optimize dividing of hazardous area in explosive gas atmospheres and make dividing result more reasonable.
