SO3 flue gas conditioning system is one of the effective technical methods to improve the EPS's efficiency in catching on dusts of high specific resistance. This subject analyzes the effects of many factors such as the particle size distribution of the fly ash, the specific resistance, the surface activity, and the electrical parameter of the ESP deeply in the process of SO3 conditioning. I get it that after SO3 conditioning the ESP improves the catching ability for fine dust, the operation specific resistance decreases for 2 orders of magnitude, the surface activity is strengthened, and the electrical parameter of the ESP is improved. Then I study in the mechanism of the SO3 conditioning system more comprehensively. And I also propose the modified formula of acid dew-point applying to the system which has operated the SO3 conditioning system after analyzing. In addition the problems such as material corrosion, SOx emission and economic benefit are discussed.
