Applying gunning mix to the blast furnace in themal state is one of the most important measures that are used for prolonging the life-span in the last age of a blast furnace.This paper points at the research of the many characters which influence the service life of the gunning mix,based on the working environment of the lining of big size BF,explores higher capability-lower cost hot gunning mix.The prime work is:1.Do the research of hydrodynamics.The research aims at the composing that influences hydrodynamics of the suspension at different cut speed, different cut time and different quantity of additive.And analyze the demand of the hydrodynamics of the suspension based at the effect among the grain and the stability of the gunning layer.The result indicates:when the average thickness appeals to 45wt%,the alum-calcium combining gunning mix's theological curve accord with glutinosity fluid2.Choosing mullite,superfine bauxite as the main raw material of the hot gunning mix based on the working environment and phase diagram. According to the experiment,we obtained the better performance hot gunning mix which is 3~1mm mullite 53%,1~0.1mm mullite 11%,≤0.088mm superfine bauxite powder 15%,α-A12O3 5%,microsilica 6%,A1-80 pure aluminate calcium cement 10%.3.We made a test of gunning mix's slag resistance by static crucible method.The results showed that adding silicon carbon grain could remarkably improve slag resistance of the gunning mix.The best adding amount of silicon carbon is 15%.
