Die and mold industry is a typical order-oriented industry with single-batch but multi-variety products. As customers'orders are unpredictable and manufacturing process is not stable, it's very difficult for managers to track the daily performance of the whole enterprises timely and exactly, therefore the production process is often out of control, and the delivery date and quality can not be guaranteed. In order to improve the management of production process, it is necessary for enterprises to adopt information technology to manage, in which the collection/analysis of production information is a key point.After surveying the characteristic of some typical die and mold companies, the whole production information flow of die and mold workshops and its influential factors are analyzed in the thesis, and then it is optimized according to the principles of modern production management, workshop control of MES and cost statistic of Manage Accountant. Based on this, the functional requirements of information collection and analysis for die and mold workshops are modeled with the UML method. Furthermore, the database structure is determined to manage the production data according to the characteristics of data flow. After that, the key technologies, such as bar-code-based collecting of production information,web-based creating of dynamic report form are investigated and the arithmetic and solution.Based on the above research, a real-time monitoring module with alert and statistics functions for die and mold industry is developed by using MVC architecture and J2EE. It is integrated with eMan, a die and mold enterprise's information system, and has been applied successfully in some companies. |
