The virtual manufacturing technique as the product of the combination of traditional manufacture and information technique, has become a new hot research field and developed quickly in last decade. One of its most important topics is the virtual numerical control technique that is the key technique to realize the net manufacturing, agile manufacturing and computer integration manufacturing system. The virtual numerical control technique can not only avoid test-cut to increase product efficiency by simulating the machining process, but also replace the actual operation training on the numerical control machine tools in some degree, which strongly supports and promotes the development of the numerical control machining.This paper introduces and analyses the total structure of the virtual numerical control system, and elucidates NC codes of the numerical control machining. The total designing idea to realize the dynamic cutter locus is proposed as well.The emphasis of this paper is put on the line and circular interpolation algorithm and the dynamic realizing method of cutter locus based on analyzing the interpolation principle of numerical control machining system. The program simulates the dynamic cutter locus based on NC codes in the condition of Visual C++6.0 and OpenGL platform, gives the three-dimensional polar coordinates of machining process that can control the speed and observing direction of virtual machining, which makes it possible to perform the key functions of foreign similar software perfectly and provide the basis of subsequent research.
