The technology of short route is a modern technology with high accuracy, high speed, high quality and high automation. Because of large productivity and heavy task, it is not fit for risk science and search test. Moreover, personnel's training in the production sites is easier to have an accident that will put the production line into a halt and make tremendous loss. As a consequent, it is necessary to apply the technology of simulation to personnel training.The process of hot continuous rolling forms a complicated comprehensive system because of compact relation among equipments, electric control and workpiece(deformation parameter). The process of hot strip continuous rolling is one of important part in metallurgy, casting and rolling. At present, with the rapid development of automation technology of hot continuous rolling control, it is much higher request to operation personnel of control system. So the exploitation and research of control simulation system, as the means of systemic design and operation instruct in hot continuous rolling, has been one of advanced means in the technology research of modern steel rolling.The process of hot strip continuous rolling is a rolling process with tension. Because of tension, continuous rolling has more complicated embroiled influence than single mill rolling, as is difficult for people to understand continuous rolling, which makes people have not enough exactness in practical parameter enactment and pose bias between enactment and practical rolling. When rolling thick product, it is not obvious because of adjust of self-adeptness. Once rolling thin product or specification'changing, it will show disadvantage of enactment. Seriously, it is difficult to rolling regular product, even appear incident and damage equipment.In this thesis, the author deeply researched tension's influence in continuous rolling, applied direct calculated formula in tension and calculated iteratively tensions among rolling mills. The system adopted direct method, applied basic models of rolling theory, compiled simulation program in static state and designed the system of continuous rolling simulation for hot strip rolling company of Tangshan iron and steel Co. by using computer language of Visual Basic under the computer operation system of Windows. The author applied visual operation, combined move design that made interface more vivid, realized three rolling simulation: crossing rolling, stabilization rolling and throwing rolling.By the simulation of present regulations, calculated value was close to spot value and the soft can intuitively reflect practical influence process of tension and forecast rolling force. The interface of the software is kind and it can be supplemented, which will not only be research tools but also be the preparations for the study of establishment of simulator of personnel training.
