Carbolic quality content of high quality carbonic structure steels in medium-high carbon steels is more than 0.45 percent , they are rolled for wires which are usually called hard coil rods . At the present time , properties in wire rods are not well equality , the content of sorbitic is low and disfigurements exist on the surface in hard coil rods produced by our country . We need improve and stabilize their properties urgently, so that we can use these hard coil rods instead of external product . So , we must optimize technological rules controlled cooling after rolling .By analysing Stelmor cooling system of Tangshan High Speed Wire Company , we put forward a model of controlling and predicting the properties of high carbon products . In air flow cooling model , we choose appropriate time distance and separate the Stelmor cooling line and roller line, separate logically transect of wire . By circular compute , we know the temperature at the intersection of two roller lines , the percent of pearlite and ferrite along radius at the same section , cooling speed of every roller line . In properties'results model , grain sizes , layer space of pearlite and properties which includeσb ,σs ,δ5 ,ψare given . The model's using can improve hard coil rods'quality , offer academic elements for developing computer copy in controlled cooling , afford academic bases for constituting rational technological rules in controlled cooling . in addition , we make examination to test the model .Through study and examination , we get such conclusions :1.Temperature field in cooling after rolling is given .2.Microstructure transformation in controlled cooling is given .3.Mathematics model that tell relations of microstructure and mechanical properties is given .4.Innovation points of the project are microstructure transformation laws and properties prediction of hard coil rods .5.The model's effects are according to existing technology to predict products'properties . We also can modify parameters so that we can establish optional technology according to demanded properties.6.The study result's appear can make factory using it avoid hard coil rods'dissidence problem because of technology irrationallity of rolling process and increase economy benefits greatly .7.We use experimently measured data of 60# steel to correct the model and make simulation results agree with measured ones . Then we simulate to 55# steel and compare between simulation results and measured ones . Finally we get the error ofσS is 0.5% ,δ5 is 1.3% ,δ5 is 2.5% ,ψis 0.85% and layer space of pearlite is 1.86% , percent of ferrite is 4.85% , rigidity is 4.82% .
