The drill pump is one of indispensable and essential key machines in drilling engineering, so that it is called the heart of the drilling machine. It is also a sort of petroleum mining machinery which has complex structure and very difficult manufacture technology. As one sort of drill pumps, the triplex single-acting drill pump is better than other drill pumps in many aspects such as small volume, light weight, high efficiency, uniformity flow capacity, small pressure fluctuation. So it is used more and more often. But because working conditions of the drill pump are very bad, some of its key components are easily damaged in work process. Traditional computational methods are very difficult to obtain precise answers because the stress and the structure are very complex. Therefore, the numerical simulation of the triplex single-acting drill pump which is to provide reference for the design of new pattern drill pump has great significance. The paper has mainly completed following several aspect contents. Firstly, use the ANSYS finite element analysis software to 3NB2200 drill pump to carry on the static analysis and the fatigue analysis on t base of the summary of major computation theory of drill pumps. The results indicated the static strength and the fatigue strength satisfied the request. Secondly, carry on the modality and the harmony response analysis to key components of 3NB2200 drill pumps, compute natural frequency and inspires and analysis the resonating frequency band to provide references for the design and the use. Thirdly, carry on the fail-safe analysis to drills to the key components of 3NB2200 drill pumps to calculate the failure probability of drills pumps, analysis the factors which are more related to the dependability. Key words:drill pumps, finite element method, vibration, dependability.
