Recently, molecular luminescence materials have being attracted much research attentions due to their unique features in comparison with traditional inorganic systems, such as molecule building blocks easily design and chemically modified,so that the functions of the materials are tunable and controllable. In this study, three new complexes of[X-BzPy]2[Zn(mnt)2](mnt2-= 1,2-dicyanoethene-1,2-dithiolate;X=NO2(1),Br(2)and Cl(3))were synthesized, and characterized by elemental analysis(EA),TG-DSC and IR spectra.Crystal structure of complex 2 was determined, which show that the crystal of 2 belongs to Monoclinic system with space group C2/c. In anion moiety of 2,Zn2+is surrounded by four S atoms from two mnt2- ligands to form a distorted tetrahedron coordination geometry. There are weakly van der Waals interaction between anions and cations besides electrostatic interactions.Complexes 1-3 possess weak fluorescence and the emission characteristic of 1 is different from that of 2 and 3 in solid state. However, three complexes exhibit stronger emission in DMF, MeCN,EtOH solution, moreover, the emission spectra are very similar to each other for three complexes, and independent upon the solvent properties.According to TDDFT calculations, the bands in UV-visible and fluoresence spectra were attributed.
