Steel embedded parts are widely used embedded parts at home and abroad. Genally, theyare welded together by anchor rodds and anchor plates. Rigid PVC embedded part is a newtype of plastic embedded parts. It is used very few and the study is also very small. It ispre-cast in the concrete in the location which the fixed component will be fixed. The bondbetween embedded part and concrete can be achieved by cementation, friction and bite forcebetween them. And the fixed component is fixed by the connecting threads of fastening partand embedded part complete.A lot of work have been done in this paper on rigid PVC embedded part, which includetheory analysis, test, finite element analysis and so on. The mechanical properties and failuremodes are studied, which would help the embeded part to be applied to the actual projects. On the basis of test methods of steel embedded parts and post-installed anchors, we testdifferent models of the rigid PVC embedded parts in this paper. The types of test includebasic tension test, law cyclic reversed tension loading test, tension fatigue load test and sheartest. The following concludes can be shown by the test rusults. The bond between rigid PVCembedded part and concrete is good. Embedded parts can take the big tensile, shear load. Theembedded parts are brittle failure in the tension tests. The embedded parts have seriousdeformation in the shear testwhich result in stiffness failure. The embedded parts can be usedfor the structures which would take reversed load or fatigue load, however, its design valueshould multiply by the capacity reduction coefficient. There have done lots of work on the finite element numerical simulation of rigid PVCembedded parts. We understand axial force distribution, deformation and destruction of themost vulnerable position of the embedded parts and rotary screw thread teeth.Compared withexperimental data, the simplified model of the embedded parts is reasonable. Finally, in accordance with the theoretical and experimental analysisof the rigid PVCembedded parts, the ultimate load calculation formulas of this plastic embedded parts underaxial and shear force are given. On this basis, in accordance with the requirements of theengineering application, a proposal of its design value is given.
