Our country's silk reeling industry is in leading factor position in the world, but is still confronted with fierce market competition. Especially in these years, high-grade silk need increases in international market, this requires that factories go to fit in with by making great efforts to improve raw silk quality right away. The customhouse's test result about raw silk export show that raw silk size quality is a key factor affecting raw silk degradation, in order to improve raw silk quality, it is imperative to raise the raw silk size quality.This paper investigated cocoon function by experiment, and got bave's characteristic, and carried on the comparison to the new-old technological design method of raw silk size, and then proposed improvement program for the cocoon number control sample.Meanwhile carried on the theoretical analysis to the sensor's work principle which is the major part of raw silk size control, then proposed the new friction formula. This paper not only analyzed the three factors: thickness of sensor spacer, cocoon boiling and reeling workshop temperature based on the friction formula, but also discussed the influence produced by miss feeding and two-cocoon feeding and inner and outer layers silk reeling. Finally, formulated digitization standard through various factor analysis, and carried on the production data analysis with computer software. This paper can provide the certain theory instruction for the reeling production, and have positive significance for improvement of raw silk quality. This paper's main conclusions are as follows:1. Through experiment divided the cocoon into five kind of types: white cocoon, grayish white cocoon, ash cocoon, ash red cocoon and red cocoon, according to the color of cocoon, and proposed improvement program for technological design of reeling cocoon number per thread.2. Thought there exist three kind of frictions between raw silk and leaf gauge of sensor, they are solid friction, boundary friction, and fluid friction, then made some revision to the friction formula.3. Thought the thickness of sensor spacer is better to value 64μm or 65μm for 20/22D raw silk produce ,and this can enhance raw silk quality.4. Thought the uniformity of raw silk's sericin content has important influence on fabric quality, and we should use both inner and outer layers during silk produce to guarantee the uniformity of raw silk's sericin content.5. Thought single miss feeding cannot cause the evenness change 2nd degree, but it has certain influence to the deviation; two-cocoon feeding also cannot cause the evenness change 2nd degree, but it has great influence to the deviation, and it can cause wild filament; double miss feeding can cause he evenness change 2nd degree, and it also has great influence to the deviation, and it can cause wild filament.
