The plastic and steel, timber, cement are four basal materials in modern society. And theplastic is the indispensably material in the architecture,telecommunication,electricity,energysources,transportation,agriculture,medicine,space navigation,information industry,national defence and so on.But all kinds of the polymer which produced and used widely areeasily burnt with the disadvantage of giving out plentiful heat in burning,fastly speed of fire,plentiful soot and excitive, caustic, poisonous gas.All of these disadvantages can take addeddifficulties to the work of lifesaving and fire protection.So how to make flammable polymerto be flame retardant,smokeless and innocuous is the problem that more and moreinvestigators researched in recent years. Additive flame retardant reagent is the flameretardant reagent what do the deed by the method of mechanical admixture. It is theprimary flame retardant in the market. Haloid flame retardant is used widely andforemost.DBDPO is the foremost investigative flame retardant.But its foreground ofapplication is not optimistical because of its hidden trouble to the entironment.Additionally,the research of halogen-free flame retardants is not mature.So the main directionof the research is empoldering new-style haloid flame retardant in order to substitutetraditional series of PBDE absolutely or partially. Bromated Epoxy Resins andPoly(Tetrabromobisphenol A Spirocyclic Pentaerythritol Bisphosphonate) discussed in thisdissertation are environmental friendly bromine-containing flame retardants.The learned domain of the dissertation is blending modification in polymer physics.PP andABS are used to be the the material of flame retardant.Discussing the effort of flame retardant bytesting the effect of combustion and mechanical properties in adding differently assorted flameretardants.BER, PTSPB, Sb2O3, hydroxide, M-HOS, diatomite were added one kind or moreto PP and ABS as flame retardant reagent.According to LOI and UL94 standard studies andmechanic performances tests,better directions for the application of flame retardant reagentare put forward.The result indicated that BER and PTSPB are good flame retardant reagents.Themechanic performances of composite changed slightly.
