The Study For Patching Technology Used In Casing Damage Wells

When the mining in the oil field enters late stage, the casing damages of the oil production wells or the water injections become more and more general due to some uncertain factors, such as the complexity of underground structure, corrosive underground environment and corrosion resistance of materials abilities. The casing repair technology has been an important research topic in oilfield development. There has been considerable progress in recent decades, but the existing technology still can not completely satisfy the changes of oilfield. In the exploitation of the oil fields, casing damage has been speeding up year by year and the damage degree is getting worse while types of casing damage are getting more complex. So developing a cost-effective reinforcement and repair technology for casing damages become a problem to be solved urgently in well repair field at present.By analyzing the features of five existing casing repair technologies and integrating current oilfield technology and equipment capacity, a pressurized and enhanced casing repair technology for casing damage is well developed. This new technology not only can repair complex casing damages in any depth of the entire well, but also has the following advantages: taking full advantage of the general oilfield equipment, simple process, convenient operation and lower repair costs.This research paper focuses on the study and design of the whole technology process, especially on the design and theoretic computing for the pressurized anchor of the key component. We have designed some experiments and carried out the structure optimization design using finite element software. Our experiments in the laboratory and the implementation in worksite show that this casing repair technology is technically feasible and has remarkable economic profit.
