| The activated carbon fiber has many tiny aperture and large compare surface area. Thesestructure and function characteristics make the activated carbon fiber adsorb more quickly andeffective than the powder and the granuler activated carbon.The excellent functions ofactivated carbon fiber make it of widespread application in waste gas and water treatment.Inthis paper, the function of the activated carbon fiber was studied. The main results were asfollows:The preparation methods, kinds and structural properties of activated carbon fiber arepresented. The influence of catalytic agent, carbonization temprature, carbonization time werestudied.The absorrption of benzoid compound by activated carbon fiber was studied. In theexperiment, the influence of the rate of filtration to the purification effeciency was researched.On the basis of summarizing the principle, advantage and recent research on watertreatment by the activated carbon fiber, adsorption performance of three activated carbons(fibrous, granulose, and powdery) were studied. The sewage treatment plants discharge inShiJiazhuang west zone for the raw water.The experiment mainly inspected the best adsorption time and the best adsorptioncapacity of three activated carbons.As the experiment indicates, activated carbon fiberproperty by the adsorption experiments was informed that the activated carbon fiber used inthe balance reached adsorption time about 30min and the adsorption activated carbon powderand granulose balance time around 40min and 45min respectively. The static adsorptioncapacity of ACF is about 0.218g/gACF, but the static adsorption capacity of GAC is about0.050g/gGAC. |
