| Today, the nitrogen and phosphorus removal technology aimed for eutrophication control has been the study focus in the wastewater treatment area. The main advantage of denitrifying phosphorus removal is the possible saving of COD and energy and less sludge production.So denitrifying phosphorus removal can solve the problems in traditional processes and it becomes the study focus in biological phosphorus removal area.In order to study the application of denitrifying phosphorus removal technology for the low carbon source municipal wastewater treatment ,the experiment operated with municipal wastewater simulatively in Guangzhou region was carried out by SBR. The application for treating wastewater in Guangzhou region with denitrifying phosphorus removal technology was studied systematically.The optimal running times and several factors were studied particularly, the application of on-line monitors was studied either. The test of denitrifying phosphorus removal with nitrite as electron acceptor from Guangzhou municipal wastewater was carried out.The efficiency of denitrifying phosphorus removal by sludge can be enhanced by gradually increasing the operation time of anoxic process under the anaerobic/anoxic/aerobic operation mode.The DPB is 85.2% in all PAOS.For dealing with municipal wastewater in Guangzhou region,30 mins for anaerobic process,3.0 h anoxic process and 1.0 h aerobic process are the best running times, with TP of less than 1.0mg/L in the effluent under this mode. With on-line monitoring ORP and pH,ORP can not indicate denitrifying phosphorus uptake and pH can indicate the end of phosphorus uptake under anoxic condition.ORP and pH both can be used as the control parameters under aerobic condition following. The control of DO with 1.0mg/L under aerobic condition will stabilize the operation of denitrifying phosphorus removal.The effects of nitrate load and nitrate addition mode on denitrifying phosphorus removal were studied. The results show that the better phosphorus removal can be obtained with higher nitrate load. The continuous addition of nitrate in this paper had the highest rate of denitrifying phosphorus uptake in several addition modes. Meanwhile,the effects of the carbon source concentration ,pH and nitrite load were studied either, they could increase the efficiency of phosphorus removal controlled reasonable threshold areas. The denitrifying phosphorus removal can keep steady under COD=180 mg/L in the influent, with TP of less than 1.0mg/L in the effluent.Denitrifying phosphorus removal with nitrite as electron acceptor from Guangzhou municipal wastewater by phosphate-accumulating sludge was studied. It has noticeable effect on dephosphatation, the phosphorus removal efficiency is 87.4% in anoxic phase,with TP of less than 1.0mg/L in the effluent, but the efficiency of denitrifying phosphorus removal with nitrite is lower than that with nitrate. |
