The immersion heating technique with the zinc holding ceramic pot has many merits such as high heating efficiency, energy conservation, long operation life of zinc pot, convenience maintenance and so on, which settle some shortages of conventional external heating with iron pot, and is popularizing in industry of hot dipping zinc. The key part of solving internal heating technology is the material of outer shell, which needs to have good corrosion resistance and corresponding mechanical properties. In this program, Fe-B alloy of anticorrosion alloy in melting zinc is taken as outer shell material of internal heater, now its anticorrosion obviously increases, however, the mechanical properties is weak in high temperature, brittle greatly and it inactions easily. Thus, add wire net in material to improve toughness, make outer shell of heater with centrifugal casting technology. In this paper, stress distribution of internal heater is simulated to analyze the reason of inactivation according to factory work condition; internal heaters are fabricated with centrifugal casting, and toughening mechanics, corrosion resistance and mechanical properties are studied in order to provide a theory basis for metal base composite manufacturing.Firstly, according to factory work condition, stress distribution of internal heater is simulated with I-DEAS software; through analyzing stress distribution picture, it is known that the reason of inactivation is local stress concentration because of non-homogeneous stress distribution. After many experiments, it is known than centrifugal casting is better making technology, the optimal temperature is 1280~1350℃,and the optimal speed of rotation is 1400 r/ min. It's mainly studied that mechanical property and corrosion resistance. It is shown from experiments that mechanical property and corrosion resistance obviously increase after adding net wires. Bending resistance increases 50%and shock resistance increases 3times; diffusion reaction of anticorrosion alloy in melting zinc occurs, Corrosion begins fromα(Fe), of which ationcorrosion is weak, and anticorrosion is mainly influnced by temperature and adding element. Comparing method of loss weight and depth used to detect ationcorrosion, the former is better for the material.Ationcorrosion rate in 600℃is 12.168 g/m2·h and is 3.0289g/m2·h in 400℃.After studying the micstructure, it is known that diffusion reaction occurs in the course of making and the wire keep well in material if the production technology is right. The internal heater, made of wire toughening resist -corrosion alloy in melting zinc, has applied for 6 mouths in factory so far, and works well.
