Pure Hexyl(cyclohexyl) silsesquioxane (compound 1) wassynthesizedby the hydrolysis of cyclohexyltrichlorosilane withacetonitrile as a reactive solvent in this reaction. The prepared compoundwas characterized by FT-IR,29Si NMR,13C NMR,1H NMR,DSC,MS and XRD. Concluded that the crystal system of compound 1 ishomocline and its melting point is 267℃.The tetrasilanol (compound 2) containing four Si-OH functions wasprepared by adding NMe4OH to the solution of 1 in THF by controllingthe proper reaction time. The compound was characterized by FT-IR,29SiNMR and MALDI-TOF MS.Di-aminopropyl polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane was synthesizedand characterized. Vinyl-heptasilsesquiOxane was formed. The productwas characterized by FT-IR and MALDI-TOF MS. The results show thatdi-aminopropyl POSS with clear structure can be prepared by this process. And a new simple and feasible approach to design and synthesize di-vinyl POSS was put forward.
