Chinese energy and the environmental protection pressure have being aggravated seriously,so all industries are trying their best to search new measures for economizing energy, falling consumes and raising the environmental protection level. In this study, according to energy using situation in Wood-based panel factory,the auther searched wood-coal briquette technology and analyzed its significance to use energy efficiently and cleanly in Wood-based panel manufactory. This study analyzed the intensity, combustion characteristics and sulfur retention of wood-coal, discussed the technical feasibility of this technology.In the paper, the use of wood residue in wood-based panel factory was analyzed, and then the intensity of wood-coal briquette was studied. In the research the sample includes soft coal and sander dust, bark dust of the production of Poplar ,which was widely used in Jiangsu province. In the experiment, by producing columniform wood-coal briquette by self-regulating mould. and testing the cold-presses intensity and drops intensity, the author analyzed the effect of wood residue content, pressure, wood residue granularity on the intensity of wood-coal briquette, and studied the molding mechanism.In wood-coal briquette combustion characters research, the author mainly studied the wood's influence on caloric value, combustion speed and ash melting point of wood-coal briquette. and tested combustion contours of TG, DTG, DTA of wood-coal, and accounted combustion kinetics parameter and determine ignition points by contours. By these experiments, the combustion characters of wood-coal briquette were acquired.Although Sulfur dioxide is the main pollutant of atmosphere pollution. less wood-based panel factories took measures to fix sulfur in coal. because the scales of them are not big enough to solve the problems in our country. Therefor, sulfur sorbent was added in wood-coal briquette, and the sulfur retention effect was analyzed. The result of the research indicated this method can be used in fixing sulfur dioxide. In conclusion, this research provided a new way for Wood-based panel manufactory to improve their environmental protection level.
