With the growing pressure of the timber raw in pulping and papermaking industry enlargesalong, people take more and more research of the non-timber raw. This work first does research in chemical composition of palm thread and the date is: klason lignin content 17.12%, cellulose content 76.97%, ash content 2.47%, benzene-ethanol extraction content 5.11% and the pentose content 35.27%.In the world wide, the pulping industry is facing unprecedented pressure which is opposing to use chlorine -containing bleach, and reducing the environmental pollution is becoming our common focus. This work does research in the AP-AQ cooking of the thread of oil-palm fruit from Malaysia and its DE_pP bleaching process. The study includes DE_pP bleaching process compared with traditional CEH bleaching process, and trying to adopt DP shorten-bleaching process between palm pulp and reed pulp, and adding activator to chlorine dioxide bleaching process. Research conclusion as follows:1. The suitable cooking parameters for AP-AQ process is: alkali charge 20% (NaOH), AQ charge 0.05% maximum temperature 160℃, temperature-holding time 90min; the cooking result is: kappa number 15.62, viscosity 991.2mL/g, brightness 39.58%ISO, yield 52.65%.2. Compared with traditional CEH bleaching process, DE_pP bleaching process is a more advanced method. CEH bleaching pulp: kappa number 5.00, brightness 76.4%ISO, viscosity 468.4mL/g; DE_pP bleaching pulp: kappa number 1.21, brightness 85.0%ISO, viscosity 818.7mL/g.3. Using DP shorten-bleaching process, by increasing the charge of bleaching chemical, the DP bleaching pulp performance can reach the level of DE_PP bleaching pulp performance. The DP palm-pulp: kappa number 1.20, brightness 83.5%ISO, viscosity 668.2mL/g.4. Adding activator to chlorine dioxide bleaching process can improve the capacity utilization of chlorine dioxide. And it is helpful to reducing kappa number and increasing brightness of the pulp.
