The coal is the main part of primary energy in china. The direct burning of great amount coal can produce much gas pollutant, such as SO2. With the rapid development of the national economy, SO2 pollution and acid rain problem have become more and more serious problem, it has now become one of obstacles in the development of national economy, which press for studying and inventing the new desulfurizing technology based on the situation of our country. Nanometer TiO2 photocatalysis technology, because of its low dynamic and strong oxidizability, has been researched comprehensive. Removal SO2 by corona discharge also has been researched largely, especially packed bed reactor, which not only enhance discharge intensity but also make possible for other material interventing.In this paper, two kinds of technologies, plasma and the nanometer TiO2 photocatalysis technology, unify well in together using packed bed reactor, and the massive experimental study was done. This paper analysis the basic theory of the desulfurizing technology microdischarge plasma, Which mainly includes two processes: one is the basic theory of the plasma, another is the desulfurization from the simulated gas streams using non-thermal plasma. Plasma device was setup based on this theory. It can improve the desulfurization rate by improve the dielectric material of corona discharge, process skill and the structure of discharge gap. Then, the simulated gas is used in experiments of single variable and the influence factors on desulfurization rate are done. But this experiment carries on research on several following influence factors, which include input voltage,SO2 primary concentration,H2O content and gas flux, because of the limitations of experiment condition and some other factors. The influence of these factors on desulfurization rate was analyzed by single variable experiment. The relation curve of single variable influence on desulfurization rate is concluded. We can design an orthogonal experiment to analysis the significance level of these influence variables and the optimization of these variables was made after the rule of single variable experiment. Finally, the multiple linear regression model was founded by the method of binary regression orthogonal design, the rule of experiment target and single variable is concluded.The results of the study show that using two kinds of technologies unify compared to alone use the plasma technology, the SO2 removal rate is enhanced 5%-20%. In addition, this paper discusses the desulfuration mechanisms using plasma and Combined Photolysis, and the factors such as voltage, gas flow and initial concentration of SO2 effecting on the efficiency of desulfurization. The results show that, the removal rate can reach 84.32% when the SO2 initial concentration is 0.54g/m3, voltage is 6.00kV, the gas flow rate is 0.47m/s.
