The leather industry has become an important industry for making profit in foreign currency in China, but a great deal of leather solid waste is produced. It is well known that plant fiber is regenerative resource. Therefore, compositing collagen fiber and plant fiber to prepare a new composite provide a new approach and idea for developing new material.A new composite with plant fiber and collagen fiber is developed in this project. The main research content are as follows:1.Based on the effect of pretreatment on collagen fiber/plant fiber composite paper, the optimum pretreatment process is given.2.Based on the relationship between hot-pressing process and the mechanical properties of collagen fiber/plant fiber/carbon composite broad , the optimum hot-pressing parameters and curve are given.3.Three composited products are developd, they are the bamboo pulp composite broad,mechanical pulp of thinning Chinese fir composite broad,chemomechanical pulp of thinning Chinese fir composite broad respectively,and moreover the effect of variation of active carbon and collagen fiber content on the mechanical and adsorption properties of the three series broads are discussed.4.The vermiculite composite broad of chemomechanical shinning wood was developed,and the factors of the flame retardant property of the broad was also discussed.5.With FITR, SEM, TG and other analytical equiments, research and chatacterization of the collagen fiber/plant fiber/carbon composite broad was conducted, and the mechanism was revealed.By means of the research and micro character of the collagen fiber/plant fiber composite broad ,the conclusions we get in this projest are as follows:1.Base on the study of the collagen fiber/plant fiber composite paper,we have found the optimum pretreatment parameters: the solid-liquid ratio: 1/5 and the gap of refining: 5mm, the cooking reagent:2% NaOH, cooking temperature:120℃,holding time:20min,degree of leather pulp:45°SR.2.The optimum parameters of hot-pressing are as follows:wet pressing stage:6Mpa,drying stage: 1Mpa,plasticizing stage:7Mpa,hot-pressing temperature: 20℃, hot-pressing time:40min.3.As to the bamboo pulp composite broad and chemomechanical pulp of thinning Chinese fir composite broad, the optimum parameters are as follows:active carbon:30g,percentage of the collagen fiber:25%; as for the mechanical thinning Chinese fir composite broad,it is unsuitable for being composite with collagen fiber.4.The collagen fiber and vermiculite take some advanced effects in improving the flame retardant property of the broad.
