The machine is a working master that machines machinery parts. Machine industry provides various equipments with each field for national economy. It is a foundation of development of realizing the national economy and society and also is a modernizing constructive guarantee of national defense and war industry, therefore, the machine industry relates to the economic lifeline and safety of a country and it is an important means of putting into effect of policy "Science & Technology Make a Country Strong" and realizing high and new technique industrialization. For this reason, the machine industry has an importance of strategy position.Machining level of CNC machines of our country is overtaking the advancing level of the world with quick development processing technology of CNC and continuous increasing of machining accuracy of parts, thus, adjustment of geometry accuracy is greatly important. Some accuracy over errors, for example, how to solve the positioning error, repeat positioning error, reverse clearance, not matching servo, verticality, creeping, etc. which occur during the period of assembly of the machines and how to find the cause drawing the problems mentioned above give higher requests to CNC machines. The geometric accuracy errors are major factors to affect the machining accuracy of CNC machines, therefore, rapid adjusting the accuracy of CNC machines and exact diagnosing the quality problem drawn from the assembling of CNC machines as well as taking advanced error compensation measures are effective way for ensuring machining quality.On the basis of ideal mentioned above and taking concerned International Standard ISO and the Part 1:《NUMERICALLY CONTROLLED TURNING MACHINES AND TURNING CENTER—TEST OF THE ACCURACY》OF GB STANDARD of The Peoples Republic of China, the paper studies and gives a set of feasible adjusting and diagnostic methods to compensate accuracy of CNC machines to obtain purpose to increase accuracy of CNC machines and shorten the difference of measuring level as compared with the other countries to make the accuracies of CNC lathes that are adjusted and diagnosed, by means of more advanced laser instrument with double-frequency, ball pole the instrument and development software of compensation technique of various measuring systems and combined with the actual conditions of CNC lathes of SMTCL, approach or be up to the level of the same kind products of the world...
