Water pollution in our country is serious. In order to improve environment of water body, experience in domestic and overseas indicate that constructing waste water treatment plants is an effective way. Comparison and selection of process scheme is one of most important stages in the construct of municipal wastewater treatment plants, which decide investment cost, running cost, effluent quality, operation supervision and so on. In the fact, because of no forming a complete set of evaluation way, cost of budget estimated and subjective opinion of designer are crucial factors of election of process scheme in the feasibility study of our country.Waste water treatment process and factors that affect the selection of process are systemic analyzed in this dissertation and an elaborate hierarchy structure model of evaluation index is set up. By inducting Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), and improving AHP, an optimized evaluation model of planning of urban wastewater treatment plant is established. The model is able to reflect complete influence of system factors objectively and make evaluation result more reasonable, which offer better scientific reference for selection of control scheme of pollution source.In order to improve efficiency and veracity of evaluation,we introduce a decision support system (DSS) in the selection of municipal wastewater treatment process. DDS is an integrated system combined computer techniques with decision science techniques. In this paper, we explained the basic theories and methods about the construction of selection of waste water treatment process of DDS. We collect a great deal of data about process, coordinate these data according to introduction, flow chart, major constructors and facilities and cost field. Because of this, a database is constructed; a model base based on evaluation information and IAHP is also constructed. Therefore, we constructed a decision system based on database and model base. According to the information of evaluation from experts, the system provides the optimum municipal wastewater treatment process users needed through favorable man-machine interface.
