A series of different mass ratio organic reversible thermochromism materials were prepared by solid phase synthesis method in this paper, choosing some kinds of alcohol and organic acid compounds as the solvent, crystal violet, malachite green and cresol red as chromophoric reagent and boric acid as delomorphic reagent. This paper studied the best mass ratio (quality ratio) of the chromophoric reagent and the delomorphic reagent and the effects of the sort and ratio of the solvent on the properties of reversible thermochromism materials. Three kinds of reversible thermochromism materials have been prepared and their comprehensive thermochromism properties were tested, the thermochromic mechanism of the materials were presumed.The results of research indicate that the best mass ratio(quality ratio) of crystal violet-boric acid, malachite green-boric acid and cresol red-boric acid is 1:350,1:100 and 1:100, the best solvent of crystal violet-boric acid, malachite green-boric acid and cresol red-boric acid is oxalic acid, Malonic acid and Lauryl alcohol and the best mass ratio(quality ratio) of the chromophoric reagent, delomorphic reagent and the solvent is 1:350:100,1:100:10 and 1:100:300.The thermochromic process of the three kinds of paints were investigated by DSC, which shows one big peak of heat absorption at the corresponding scope of thermochomic temperature. The results of DSC conform to the thermochomic temperature that were observed with eyes. The paints'thermochromic mechanism were summarized for the obtaining or losing of the electrons among the molecules. The thermochromic properties at the best mass ratio of crystal violet-boric acid-oxalic acid, malachite green-boric acid-Malonic acid and cresol red-boric acid-Lauryl alcohol were tested and the results indicate that the three kinds of paints'thermochomic temperature are low, the paints'color-recovering time are short, the paints'color are vivid, the paints are sensitive in color changing, and the reversible property and the stability are good. The three kinds of paints are the ideal organic reversible thermochromism materials of low temperature.
