The numerical control technology is one of the manufactures technology's greatachievements in 20th century, and has become the important subject during the fierceintemational competition on science. The numerical control technology results in theinfluence to the modern manufacturing industry in various and significant ways. Themanufacturing industry is the principle one for every industry. The numerical controltechnology and the numerical control equipment are the important foundation ofmodernization of manufacturing industry, which also directly affects national economicaldevelopment and the national strength. The development of numerical control technology andnumerical control machine tools is the final trend of the transformation and renews of currentmanufacture technology. The development of numerical control machine tools depends on theperformance of numerical control system and the technology greatly, however thedevelopment of numerical control system and its technology basis cannot exist without thedevelopment of microelectronic technology and computer science.Control of interpolation is an important constituent in the numerical control manufacturesystem, its performance directly represents the level of advanced manufacture system.Interpolation module is the core technique in NC technology. Its quality will affect the abilityof NC system directly, and it is the main tache that to be improved and completed in dire need.At first the paper simply introduces numerical control technology's development history,character, research object, developing trend and so on. This paper introduces the compositionand the work process of the numerical control units. It puts forward the subject and thecontents of the thesis.Secondly, after analyzing the tradition pulse interpolation and the data samplinginterpolation, this paper emphasize to discuss some theories of interpolation algorithm ofnumerical control. The article also arries on the analysis and the comparison between severalkinds of interpolation. Afterwards, as for software, structure and features of utility interpolating algorithm, suchas point-to-point comparing method, DDA method and minimum deviation method, areanalyzed in details. As for hardware, after researching the design principle and realizationtechnology of hardware fine interpolator, the DDA linear interpolation and the circularinterpolation hardware interpolators are designed as well in this paper.Finally, this paper summarizes all work for this subject, achievement and bring forwardsome hope about this subject.
