The development of large-scale steam-electric powder line makes greater technical demands. On the choice and application of the main material for the high pressure boiler.It is measured by this thesis that the chemical composition, mechanical property, microstructure and sustained strength of T23 steel tube.It is done that the age test and mechanical property, microstructure measure of the base metal and manual argon arc welding joint of T23 steel tube after aging ,meanwhile, the high temperature properties of T23steel and manual argon arc welding joint were tested. The microstructure after tempering and high temperature ageing was analysed by means of transmission electron microscope and scanning electron microscope. An investigation on the microstructure shows that the influences of temperature during the microstructure and carbides in steel T23 tubes at high temperature during long term service are more remarkable than those of run duration. The mechanical properties at room-temperature of T23 steel after high temperature ageing were excellent. After 10,000h ageing at 600°C,σs andσb only decreased about 8% . Recovery and recrystallization happened during T23steel was ageing and there were M23C)6 and MC precipitated from the steel. They all strengthened T23 steel.Test data show that steel T23 has superior stability of microstructure and creep strength.
