The proportion of the complicated coal seam is enhancing gradually with the increase of the coal output in China. The thin coal, thick coal, and no coal zero caused by the coal seam irregular because of the complex geological conditions especially to the geological structures, appear alternately, which brings questions of the product management, the safe production and the effective resources recycle.According to the complicated coal seam of structure of +680m level mining area in the Da'anshan mine, the methods of theory analysis and 3D simulation have been used to research the characteristic of the geological structure terms and coal seam. Then the reserves is calculated by the MICROMINE software. At the same time, the arrange way of rock's tunnel is confirmed basised on the numerical simulation. In the end, the support characteristic, the technical parameters, the mining methods and the safe exploiting technology of flexible shield supports have been determined under the coal seam with deep dip angle. The rate of extraction is improved accordingly. These will provide an important basis for the coal seeking and exploiting under the similar condition hereafter.
