In recent years, with the rapid development of Xi'an in economy and urban construction, there are also many environmental problems, which have terribly prevented the development of Xi'an. In order to achieve the sustainable development of economy, society and ecological environment, the Xi'an city government office proposed a new development idea of "internationalization, marketization, humanization and ecologicalization", started the ecological environment comprehensive improvement of Chanbawei valley, developed and constructed Chanba ecotope, expanded space for urban development, promoted regional economic development, and improved regional ecological environment quality. This paper provides helpful references for the ecological environment comprehensive improvement of Chanbawei valley by research and calculation, and the main research content and results read as follows:1. Study on regional tourism environment capacity: An index system of tourism environment capacity was established, and according to which, a quantitive analysis of the tourism environment capacity of Guangyuntan ecological scenic spot was made and the daily suitable, daily saturated and yearly suitable values were calculated, which are 16840,42100 and 4041600 persons respectively.2. Study on regional ecological environment carrying capacity: The gray relation analysis method was adopted to assess the environment quality of Chanba ecotope and its functional subareas, and according to the results, the values of ecological environment carrying capacity were calculated. The research shows that: â‘ The atmospheric environmental quality of Chanba ecotope is grade 4.015 on the average, and that of physical distribution centre, Baliu ecological garden and ecological tourism zone are grade 4.358, grade 4.134 and grade 3.493 respectively. Among all the pollution factors, PM10 is the worst, SO2 next, and NO2 the best, and they are grade 4.67, grade 2.165 and grade 1.48 respectively on the average. â‘¡The water environmental quality of Chanba ecotope is grade 4.567 on the average, and that of physical distribution centre, Baliu ecological garden and ecological tourism zone are grade 4.946, grade 4.569 and grade 2.11 respectively. Among all the pollution factors, ammonian is the worst, petroleum, BOD5, COD and volatile phenol next, and DO the best, and they are grade 5, grade 4.86, grade 4.71, grade 4.04, grade 3.07 and grade 1.87 respectively on the average. â‘¢The ecological environmental quality of Chanba ecotope is grade 4.254 on the average, and that of physical distribution centre, Baliu ecological garden and ecological tourism zone are grade 4.83, grade 4.216 and grade 2.677 respectively. Among all the environmental factors, water environmental quality is the worst, atmospheric and forest-grass environmental quality next, and land environment quality the best, and they are grade 4.567, grade 4.015, grade 3.095 and grade 1 respectively on the average. â‘£The quantity of existing resources (except forest-grass resources) in Chanba ecotope can basically satisfy the requirement of current social economic development, but present environment quality (except land environment) can hardly come up to the ecological environmental standard that people expect.3. Study on the protection of artificial scenic waters in Chanbawei valley: The comprehensive nutrition state index method was adopted to assess the eutrophic state of artificial scenic waters in Chanbawei valley. The research shows that the waters of 2# urban district rubber dam in Chan River is under intermediate eutrification on the average and the degree is alleviative month by month, which is intermediate in April & May and mild in June & July.
