This thesis is based on the on-the-spot working condition of second rod manufacturing workshop of Xiangtan Iron and Steel Company. By means of conducting hot simulation experiment on 36Mn2V and 37Mn5 steel in THERMECMASTOR-Z hot simulation experiment machine, experimental results are analyzed so as to optimize 800 rolling mill craft of rod manufacturing workshop and design suitable rolling craft. Because the former pass system is unsuitable to produce rod products of the big specification, it has been transformed meanwhile and the original manual presses and puts are transformed into computer controls.According to the experiment mentioned above, several research conclusions are as follow :1.Through single dishes of experiment of compressing and plural non-linear regression by gathering the typical data of stress-strain curves,flow stress mathematics model is gained. This mathematics model is of simple structure and high precision in calculation and can be used in practical production.2. The transformation of the former pass, on the premise of satisfying the on-the-spot working condition, can guarantee the production of rods of big specification.3. Dynamic recrystallizations were studied through single compression. Dynamic recrystallization is prone to happen in the coarse rolling of higher deformation temperature and lower deformation velocity, meanwhile by non-linear regression the critical strain model is gained; Static recrystallizations were analyzed through many compressions.4. Compared with the manual device, the calculation is more precise when PLC is used to control the screw gear of 800 rolling mill.
