Study On Constructing Log 3D Digital Figure With CCD

Abstract/Summary:
The dissertatiom experienced to construct a log 3D digital figure system with CCD when log rolling. Application of the 3D digital figure on log centering was discussed too. CCD and ir illuminant were used in image acquisition to develop a low price, high precision and practicable method for constructing log 3D digital figure. The 3D digital figure system is composed of hardware system and software system. Hardware system consists of CCD, the image acquisition card, PC and so on, with infrared lamp as illuminator. While software is classified as four module such as picture acquisition, picture processing, 3D output and centering optimizing. The result of the research is:(1) Take infrared light whose wavelength is 950nm as light sources. Log is different with background in pictures captured by CCD with 930nm infrared filter.(2) Unidirectional correcting of picture distortion with function was used to compensate the distortion. Calibrate the system to get log dimention.(3) Log 3D digital figure can be constructed by 3D output module,in which log digital figure can be roll, adjust, zo(?)m in or zoom out.(4) Center log with 3D digital figure. Both clip movement and radius were caculated in centering module. Clip movement were correspond to the center offset. Same radius were elicited from same log cliped in different place.The innovative points:(1) Not only the different dimensions and shapes of the end-faces, but also the different shapes and dimensions of cross-sections in log were considered in log centering with log 3D digital figure.(2) To avoid being affected by the visible light, near infrared was used as light source as the light source and infrared filter for light-filtering.
