| Because Pb-Cu alloy has the property of self-lubricate and wonderful plasticity, which are the ideal anti-wear materials to manufacture bearings, and market wants are very vast. But Pb-Cu alloy liquid is immiscibly and generally and rapidly separated into two distinct layers due to the big difference of density and melting points between the Cu and Pb; it is difficult to produce the uniformly dispersed microstructure without segregation. Our research found there are two methods to produce high quality Pb-Cu powders: mechanical alloying and the homogeneously melting. The former does not need heating and complicated equipments, but the efficiency is very low. The later needs adding additives to form metal intermediate compound according the technical process, this method is a ready producing plants and does not need expensive raw materials, extra equipments. |
