Nanoparticles of EuF3 were prepared from the microemulsions of CTAB, n-pentanol, cyclohexane and water based on the phase diagrams combined with hydrothermal process. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns were indexed to a pure EuF3 hexagonal phase. The diameter of the particales was calculated by Debye-Scherrer equation, which was about 30nm. Environmental scanning electron microscopy (ESEM) images showed EuF3 nanoparticles were uniform, Which were identical with the calculated values by the Debye-Scherrer equation. From the fluorescence spectra of the products, we can get the emission spectrum consisted of two sharp lines located at 591nm and 613nm attributed to the 5D0→7F1 and 5D0 →7F2 of f-f transition of Eu3+.Nanoparticles of LiYF4 and LiGdF4 were prepared from the quaternary microemulsions of CTAB, n-butanol, n-octane and water or brine solution combined with hydrothermal process. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns were indexed to pure LiYF4, LiGdF4 phases. The diameter of the particales, calculated with Debye-Scherrer equation, revealed that these particales were nanoparticals.Preparation of "LiLaF4 " nanoparticles were primarily studied, Which used the quaternary microemulsions of CTAB, n-butanol, n-octance and water based, combined with hydrothermal process.
