The greatest disaster in coal mine is gas disaster, and main performance of the disaster is gas explosion. More and more gas explosions occurred in coal mine during recent years. The explosions have made a great loss. The thesis studies the reason and the theory of gas explosion and uses the Finite volume method and the SIMPLE algorithm to design a numerical simulation system based on the Computational Fluid Dynamics to make the gas explosion in coal mine recurred.Under certain hypothesises and simplifications, we use the Finite Volume Method, the CHEMKIN model and the improved SIMPLE algorithm to simulate the process of gas explosion based on the data of Hartmanm. The experimental result shows that the model and programme are all correct. The research results in this dissertation offer the important technical support for the prevention control and cure and investigation of gas explosion accidents.
