A great variety of flange are applied to industry such as machinery, petrochemical industry etc. All kind of flanges which connecting and sealing belong to the critical component, with the development trend of die CAD/CAE and the current engineering levelof dies of flagnes, the dissertation is mainly focused on the development and study of dies CAD/CAE of flanges on the base of the engineering level of dies of flange at present, items carried out is as following:Categorized flanges according to their figures & styles; made up the three-dimensional profiles of dies of flanges which generated from the parameter pack with basic graphics; carried out computer simulation of metal molding which is used to pre-qualify the precision molding in the process of mould optimized engineering. The method of computer simulation of metal molding is necessary and efficient to enhance product performances and quality, minimize material consumption and reduce manufacturing cost, all of that form reliable principle for the computer aided design of dies.
