Optimization of process conditions for the atomsphere crude fractionators in somewhere refinery were made with flow simulation software.The sidedrawing locations along with atmosphere fractionator were optimizied based on rules of least sum of variance squares for temperature difference between trays which was proposed by University of Petroleum(Beijing).The tray number of atmosphere fractionator is reasonably reduced from 60 to 50 that is firstly used of separation shifting techniques proposed by University of Petroleum.The high performance Super V1 trays and its internals inside primary and atmosphere fractionators were sizied by using the single parameter whole column performance diagram and baffles tray in the sections under the feedstock in primary fractionator were proposed for the first time. The Crude Atmosphere Units start-up is successed, all of process conditions and qualities and yields of products were met the need of that of design expected.
