It is common that low carbon source but high nitrogen and phosphorus are the main characters of wastewater in South China. According to this trait, Tongji University has developed interactive reactor and a pilot process of interactive reactor is studied to treat municipal sewage of Hanyang district in Wuhan city. This reactor utilize biological denitride and dephosphorization, aide with chemical coagulate to achieve satisfying effect of removing nutrient salt such as nitrogen and phosphorus. In the process of test, different level of water temperature and influent content, and combination of all kinds of technical process are studied to evaluate influence of operating conditions. And different technical processes are switched and operating parameters are adjusted in order to achieve optimization of treatment.In the process of study, technical processes which the interactive reactor had operated are mainly the following two models: pre-anoxia+AAO and inverted AAO. Under the model of pre-anoxia+AAO, when influent temperature is below 18°C, average COD/TN of influent is 5.44, COD/TP is 45.6, organic load is 0.15kg COD/kg MLSS.d, removal of TN is about 13.2%, removal of TP is about 89.5%; when influent temperature is between 18-22°C, average COD/TN of influent is4.64, COD/TP is 46, organic load is 0.13kg COD/kg MLSS . d, removal of TN is about 30%, removal of TP is about 40%; when influent temperature is above 22°C, average COD/TN of influent is 4.36, COD/TP is 47.3 , organic load is 0.20kg COD/kg MLSS .d, removal of TN is about 37.8%, removal of TP is few. Under the model of inverted AAO, influence partly goes to the anoxia area and anaerobic area according to the proportion of 7:3. When DO of aerobic area is controlled between 0.5-1.0mg/L in the model of low-oxygen, average COD/TN of influent is 3.56, COD/TP is 36.2, organic load is 0.14kg COD/kg MLSS . d, removal of TN is about 62.4%, removal of TP is about 29.9%, accumulation of nitrification product-nitrite can achieve above 60%. When water temperature is below 18°C, average COD/TN of influent is 4.40, COD/TP is 28.46, organic load is 0.25kg COD/kg MLSS.d, removal of TN is about 38.6%, removal of TP is about 56%.Based on the research on pilot process of interactive reactor, demonstration project of interactive reactor whose design scale is 10 000 m~3/d was constructed in Hanyang district.
