The paper deals with a damage mechanism of blast furnace's trough and its refractory lining of ALO-.In the subject, we analyzed the changes of trough's material(TM) before and after its use by means of physical and chemical testing under a microscope, and we deeply discussed a damage mechanism of TM, describing its corrosion from the point of view of both macro and micro angles. deeply studied the role of main raw materials used in the lining of the trough, such as SiC, C, etc, in TM, the role of various additives in the trough's casting material and the influence of the materials such as MgO, etc. on the performance of TM. The result showed that iron runner is corrosioned mainly, it is advisable to lead into SiC with 15~25%, joined ferro silicon nitride percentage content is 5~8% and ultra-fine powder percentage content is 5~8% .every index is best. Asphalt is led into with spheroidal asphalt form, iron runner arrange to change index into most , andalusite can alleviate iron runner efficiently contract to take affect.This also approached the influence of the installation performance and use conditions of TM on its working life.
