The new effective low-position caving hydraulic support just developed in the last 10 more years. It is the one of three big equipments of the efficiency of high yield to realize thick coal seam to mine. Along with the extensive application of hydraulic support in our country, the higher requirement for the life and reliability of hydraulic support appeared. The problem of hydraulic support's upper beam damage, directly affects the life and reliability of hydraulic support. Therefore, the thesis gives the FEA (Finite Element Analysis) analysis and research to every kind of endure force condition while the hydraulic support working just in the way of the technique for figure simulation. It offered the theory reference for the design of hydraulic support with high quality in a way.According to the present condition of research, the thesis has introduced the working principle of hydraulic support for example the Support Cover Type Low Position with the type of ZF3500/17/29, adopted function powerful analysis software ANSYS to establish the compute model of upper beam, and then has carried out static analysis again for it , and has reached the distribution of the stress at last. Through comparing the result of the FEA with the result of the realistic research, the thesis has verified the correctness of the FEA.Though this thesis is to research the upper beam of hydraulic support, but the analysis method in it can be popularized to hydraulic support's other parts research, so the conclusion and the research method of this thesis have certain engineering worthiness.
