| Tuyere raceway is an important reaction area indispensable to BF's stable operation. Profile of tuyere raceway is greatly affecting the airflow at the bottom of BF, activity of hearth and charge falling. What's more, chemical energy and heat energy needed for production in BF, mainly come from the coal gas, which is produces by fuel brunt in the tuyere raceway. Sizes of tuyere raceway will directly affect the heat transter and mass transfer in the whole BF, the gas distributing at the bottom of BF and the charge falling proportioned. Therefore, based on the technological condition of BF 2000m~3 for PISC, to optimize the smelt condition and technological operation, it is quite necessary to investigate the rule that blast parameter is affecting the profile, size and reactivity of raceway. In this text, cold condition and nonisothermal cold condition simulations have been done in allusion to BF 2000m~3 for PISC.Experiment of cold model is based on the similarity theory. A cold condition simulation of tuyere raceway for BF had been done on the scale of 1:10. By changing the tuyere diameter, tuyere angle and blast volume, movement of raceway formed at the leading edge in BF tuyere had been observed and analysed. Based on the results of experiment, formula for raceway depth calculating had been deduced. And the relation between tuyere diameter and raceway depth was calculated under a given technological condition of BF 2000m~3 for PISC.Experiment of nonisothermal cold model was based on the the scale of 1:15. Chage of the temperature, which is mensurated by thermal infrared imager P30, was used for reflecting the speciality of tuyere raceway. By changing the tuyere diameter, tuyere depth, tuyere angle, blast volume and so on, speciality of high-temperature space formed at the leading edge in BF tuyere had been observed. results of the experiment show that, sequencing of all the factors affecting tuyere raceway is tuyere diameter, depth of penetration and tuyere angle. Relations between activity of hearth and the factors of tuyere depth, tuyere diameter, blast volume and so on were educed.
