The application of free form surface components is increasing in industrial areas. Some key components of great projects regarding energy sources, spaceflight and national defense present the feature of large and anomalistic surface.The digital machining method that integrates measurement, process and machining control is the effective approach to solve the manufacture problem for this kind of parts. 3D surface tracking measurement and digital copying and machining are crucial processes of the method. A digital copying control system with open architecture is constructed. The research on the theories and simulation of the principles of surface tracking measurement and several key technologies are carried out.Basing on the summary and anatomy of open-architecture digitial copying control system, a kind of hardware platform, which regards IPC and industrial interface cards as the control core, is designed and constructed. According to needs of the main function and auxiliary functions, the general layout of software and organizational arrangement of the function modules are planned and designed.Basing on the multimedia timer technique, the real-time control program is finished in the platform of Windows 2000 operating system. The mechanism of management and scheduling of the control system is realized efficiently by the keybord hook technique.With the VC++ integrated development tools, the main program and management interface programs are written.The principle, structure and the calibration process about magnification of the copying apparatus are introduced in the paper. The theories and algorithm of surface tracking measurement are researched. A new sampling process algorithm of the equal chord height named comparison discriminance of the three middle points is put forward. The sampling precision is enhanced with the improved algorithm.A fuzzy-PID compound controller is designed based on the fuzzy-PID compound control strategy.The suitable controller is selected to regulate the corresponding control voltage of the radial velocity effectively.This method can improve the accuracy of deflection control and stability of tracking measurement.To improve the position control accuracy of copying system, the closed loop structure of position control based on PID controller is designed; the PID parameters are optimized through genetic algorithm; the ideal PID optimized parameters are gained through Matlab...
